    New Law Requires Family Members of Senior Citizens to “Go Back Home”
    The central government has finished revising the Law for Seniors. The draft law requires family members of seniors citizens who live alone to frequently pay visits to their relatives.     The Ministry of Land Resources has released a list of 26 plots of land that have been kept idle during the past few years on its website. The plot of land which has remained idle for the longest time belongs to the Fujian Dongjia Development Corporation. It has been kept undeveloped for 17 years since the developer gained the property.

    Beijing Announces Strengthening of Supervision on Affordable Housing
    The Beijing government released a notice yesterday announcing the strengthening of late stage supervision for affordable housing. The Beijing government will require tenants who no longer meet qualifications for affordable housing to pay rent equal to that of public rental houses. This new policy will take effect on February 1, 2011.
