Sinopec and CNOOC Switch Executives

Following the appointment of Sinopec chairman Su Shulin to the position of deputy party secretary of Fujian province, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC today announced his replacement to employees of Sinopec. The new chairman of Sinopec will be Fu Chengyu, who is currently chairman of CNOOC and led that state-owned company's failed bid to takeover Unocal in 2005. Wang Yilin, the current vice president of Sinopec, will move to take up Fu Yucheng's position at CNOOC.
