Both Northern and Southern China May Suffer from Drought This Year

Judging from the current drought covering Southwest China, both Northern and Southern China may have to combat drought this year due to reduced rainfall, inadequate water reserves, and a weak infrastructure for drought relief, Zhang Zhitong, deputy director of China's flood relief agency, said to a People's Daily reporter yesterday.
