Han Han and other prominent Chinese authors have launched proceedings against two wholly owned subsidaries of Baidu. Inc, the Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd. (百度在線網絡技術（北京）有限公司) and Baidu.com Times Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (百度時代網絡技術（北京）有限公司). The case requests that the two companies immediately remove items that infringe on the plaintiffs intellectual property rights from Baidu Wenku (百度文庫), close down Baidu Wenku, post a public apology to the authors on the home page of Baidu.com for 7 days and compensate for economic losses.

The Haidian People's Court in Beijing has already accepted 16 related cases.
