China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) officially announced that Li Xiaohong (黎曉宏) has been appointed as the new head of the securities watchdong's discipline inspection commission, replacing Li Xiaoxue (李小雪).

Li Xiaohong was also appointed as a member of the Party committee of CSRC, replacing Li Xiaoxue according to a decision made by the CPC's Central Organization Department.

Li Xiaoxue is expected to take up a new position at the Association for Listed Companies (上市公司協會), an industry body that aims to serve as an independent self-regulating organization for listed companies.

The Economic Observer correctly predicted the personnel shift in an article that appeared in our Oct 17 edition. We also reported that Gui Minjie (桂敏杰) is likely to be appointed as the new president of Shanghai Stock Exchange, with Huang Hongyuan (黃紅元) taking up the role of deputy.
