Aviation Regulator Denies Rumor That Planes Have 30-Minute Takeoff Deadline

The Civil Aviation Administration of China, or CAAC, has denied online rumors that planes at Chinese airports are required to take off 30 minutes after the cabin hatches are shut.

A CAAC representative told Xinhua that the regulator is trying to reduce delays and has proposed that flights must take off 30 minutes after the hatches are closed. The proposal hasn’t been approved though.
