Chongqing Named the "Most Secure and Stable" City in China

Recently, the Central Committee for Comprehensive Management (中央綜治委) announced that Chongqing had topped a list that ranked Chinese cities according to their "social order and comprehensive management" in 2010 (2010年度全國社會治安綜合治理). The ranking of provinces, districts and cities according to "social order and comprehensive management" began in 2004 and this is the first time Chongqing has topped the list after being ranked 13th in 2009 and 19th in 2008. The ranking is based on 70 indicators including a survey of the sense of security among the populace.
