    Death Sentence Handed Down in Illegal Additives in Pig Feed Case
    The first court hearing related to the recent illegal additives in pig feed scandal, began this morning in Henan. The Intermeditate People's Court of Jiaozuo sentenced Liu Xiang (劉襄) to death with a two-year reprieve which is often commuted to life in prison. Fellow accused, Xi Zhongjie (奚中杰) was sentenced to life in prison, Xiao Bingyou (肖兵有) to a 15-year prison term, Chen Yuwei (陳玉偉) to 14 years and Liu Honglin (劉鴻林) to 9 years in prison. All of those sentenced were charged with "endagering public safety."
