    Sinopec Tops List of China's Largest Enterprises

    Fortune China Magazine officially announced the results of their annual ranking of the top 500 Chinese businesses, which are ranked according to annual revenue. China Petrochemical Corp. Group (Sinopec) claimed the top spot in this year's list, with annual revenue of 1.91 trillion yuan. The country's other huge state-owned oil company, China National Petroleum Corp.  (CNPC) was ranked second followed by telecommunication giant China Mobile. The total revenue of the 500 largest enterprises amounted to a total of RMB 18.9 trillion at the end of 2010, equivalent to 47% of China's GDP for that year..
