Personal Income Tax Amendment on Agenda for NPC Standing Committee Meeting
The 12th Meeting of the 11th NPC Standing Committee will be held from today until Jun 30 in Beijing. Delegates will once again consider draft amendments to the Personal Income Tax legislation after they were sent for further public deliberation after delegates failed to pass the amendments at the last meeting of the body in late April. The Standing Committee of the NPC will also consider a draft law on administrative enforcement, proposed changes to the Work Place Health and Safety Law along with draft amendments to the Military Service Law. Among other items on the agenda, the committe will also examine and approve the central government's spending plans along with the State Council's report into central government expenditure in 2010.
