    Guangdong Introduces Energy Restriction Policies

    管理員

The Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province has said that currently there is a shortage of approximately 1 to 2 million kilowatt of electricity every day in the province and that this might climb to a daily shortage of 4 million kilowatts as consumption peaks over the summer. In response to the shortage, Guangdong has ordered 8 energy-intensive industries to start production at different times of the day. Residential power supply however won't be affected. Other areas in China, such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hebei and Jiangxi, have also begun to implement similar energy restriction policies. On Apr 22, the National Energy Administration announced that the electricity supply in eastern, central, southern and northern China, would be tight as summer approaches.
