Individual Implicated in Sinopec Scandal Demoted

    管理員

Yesterday afternoon, at a press conference organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (also known as Sinopec), the company announced that it had removed Lǔ Guǎngyú(魯廣余) from the position of CEO of Guangdong Petroluem, a subsidary of Sinopec. The company also said that Mr Lu had lied on a self-evaluation report and that he would be required to pay back the 131,100 yuan he spent on red wine which has been at the center of the "expensive alcohol" controversy. Lu will be demoted but has not been fired from the company.
