    "My Dad is Li Gang" Case to go to Trial on January 26

    In October of 2010, Li Qiming ran over and killed a young woman and injured another in a traffic accident that took place on the grounds of Hebei University in Baoding. According to reports, Li Qiming attempted to flee the scene and when stopped by campus security, shouted that his father was Li Gang, the deputy director of the public security bureau of Beishi District of Baoding City in Hebei Province. The family of the driver have already paid the family of the young woman who was killed (Chen Xiaofeng) 460,000 yuan. Li Qiming is to be tried with the crime of "culpable driving causing serious damage or injury" in a court hearing which is scheduled to begin at 9am on January 26 at the People's Court in Hebei's Wangdu County.
