    Beijing House Prices Increased by 42% in 2010

    According to Shanghai Securities News, the latest data from China Real Estate Information Corporation (CRIC), reveals that the price of newly constructed commerical residential properties in Beijing increased by an average of 42% over the course of 2010. According to the report, these properties currently sell at 20,328 yuan per square meter. Prices in Shanghai are still more expensive, with similar properties selling for 22,261 yuan per square meter, but prices only increased by 40% year-on-year. Prices of similar properties in Shenzhen and Guangzhou increased by 33 and 23% respectively.
