One-child Policy will not be Adjusted

    管理員

In response to recent rumors that the one-child policy would be relaxed to allow couples to have a second child, deputy director of the Population and Family Planning Commission, He Xiaopeng, has declared in an interview with reporters that there are no plans to adjust the policy or to experiment with a new population control policy. The deputy director further denounced the Internet rumors as baseless and irresponsible. In the same interview, He Xiaoping also criticized concerns about an aging population, arguing that population aging is a universal effect of economic and social development rather than a direct result of China’s one-child policy.
