    Inclusive Growth May Appear as Key Concept in 12th Five-Year Plan

    At the recent Fifth APEC Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting held in Beijing, President Hu Jintao said that China would promote "inclusive growth" that promoted equalitiy of opportunity. According to the China Economic Weekly, this is the first time a Chinese leader has used the phrase since it first appeared in book publiushed by the Asian Development Bank in 2007. The weekly paper, which is published by the People's Daily, also said that it's possible that "inclusive growth" might be one of the principle ideas that feature in China's 12th Five-Year Plan which will cover the period from 2011 to 2015. The five-year plan is set to be the main topic of discussion at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee which will be held in Beijing next month.
