    China's Migrant Workers

    Nation, page 10
This week's issue of the EO features a special report which looks at the life of migrant workers living in Shenzhen and Nanjing. At present, a second generation of migrant workers, the offspring of the original waves of rural workers who came to the cities seeking work, has grown up. Most of these second generation workers prefer life in urban areas to that in their hometowns. The difficulty of persuading urban citizens accepted them and of integrating them into urban life, has become a pressing problem for cities across China.
