    Rethink the Beijing Metropolitan Circle
A plan to build a gigantic circular economic zone covering Beijing, Tianjin, and neighboring cities in Hebei province may come true after the passage of a 4 trillion stimulus plan meant to trigger an investment boom in infrastructure projects. The plan, first proposed by Wu Liangyong, professor of Tsinghua University, called for moving certain low-value added and heavy industries out to neighboring cities, thus alleviating pressure on Beijing and spurring regional development. Pictured is Tianjin's port, which would fall under the Beijing-centered zone.
