Safety First for the Olympic Games
The guardians of the Olympic Games have taken up their posts with the Games now just around the corner. China has made significant efforts to ensure a safe Games, to the extent of deploying home-made missiles to protect the airspace around the competition stadium, importing advanced counter-terrorism equipment from America, and strengthening traffic inspections.
Although Beijing promised to spend half of the funds invested in whole Athens Olympic Games just in its guard work, that figure may have greatly increased, as a detailed budget has yet to be published.
