Temporary Shelter
Two years ago, the Jiuzhou Stadium built at 150 million yaun in Mianyang city, Sichuan, was criticized as a white elephant and a waste of public funding. In the aftermath of the May 12 earthquake, however, it has won high praises from Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao for providing a comfortable shelter to thousands of quake victims.
